problem with the firebox connection

it is impossible for me to connect the firebox to my pc I have changed the firewire cable but there is no sync and when I change the pc there is also no reaction I know that the firewireport of my pc is ok because it can recognize other firewire devices (motu ultralite) is the firewireport of the firebox defect? it is possible to repair it?...
