(Therefore, check whether the headlamps are switched on if the display is too dark.) Ensure that COL (colour) and HUE are set correctly. Display colours are too weak or defective. FAULT FINDINNG Fault Picture distortion during television reception. Shadows or double images during television reception. Stripes or dots during television reception. TV Cause Adverse reception conditions Remedy Reception signals are reflected by hills, buildings etc. Check again at a location with good reception conditions. Reflection of the signals by hills or buildings can result in multipath reception. Check again after changing the location or the alignment. Vehicles, trams, power lines, neon signs etc. can interfere with television reception. Check again after changing the location. Not a fault but typical for liquid crystal displays (LCD). (Displays are manufactured with exceptional precision. In general, 99.99% of all screen dots (pixel) are normally activated and only 0.01% are defective.) Adverse reception conditions Interference Individual pixels inactive in LCD. 36 One of the following displays appears if a fault occurs: Perform the relevant measures described below in order to remedy the fault.
